Recap: Northern Burlington Greyhounds vs. Burlington Township Falcons
The Northern Burlington Greyhounds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 71-53 to Burlington Township. Northern Burlington has struggled against Burlington Township recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Burlington Township's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tj Morrison, who scored 17 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Morrison has scored all season. Aaron Ferguson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Northern Burlington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Burlington Township, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.
Northern Burlington will head out on the road to take on Pennsauken at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Burlington Township, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Egg Harbor Township at 11:30 a.m. on January 27th. Egg Harbor Township is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
