Basketball Game Preview: O'Brien RVT Condors vs. Abbott RVT Wolverines

O'Brien RVT hasn't had much luck against Abbott RVT recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Condors will take on the Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. O'Brien RVT will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, O'Brien RVT didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Platt Tech, but they still walked away with a 49-43 win.

O'Brien RVT's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Garrett Johnson, who shot 46% from the field on his way to 18 points and three steals. Robert Stocker was another key player, putting up nine points and three blocks.

O'Brien RVT was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Platt Tech only posted three.

Meanwhile, Abbott RVT was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 70-64 to Woodland Regional. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Hawks are ranked ninth).

O'Brien RVT now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Abbott RVT, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

O'Brien RVT couldn't quite get it done against Abbott RVT when the teams last played back in January of 2025 as they fell 60-51. Can the Condors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
