Basketball Recap: Middleton Piles Up the Points Against West Carroll

Middleton waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They took their game with ease, bagging a 59-17 win over the West Carroll War Eagles. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-10.

Leading Middleton to victory were Harmony Bell and Kenya Polk. Bell went 8 of 10 en route to 17 points, while Polk posted ten points and three steals. The match was Bell's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kijah Mitchell, who put up four points and three steals.

Middleton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Middleton pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for West Carroll, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Middleton will head out to face off against Halls at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Carroll, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bradford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
