Recap: Kentucky Christian Knights vs. Cumberland Christian Home Educators Hawks

The Kentucky Christian Knights had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They walked away with a 60-51 win over Cumberland Christian Home Educators. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Kentucky Christian also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2023.

Despite the loss, Cumberland Christian Home Educators saw an underclassman step up: Joshua Sloan dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Gabe Coleman was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds.

Kentucky Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which somehow isn't as good as their 17-2 record this season. As for Cumberland Christian Home Educators, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.

Kentucky Christian on the road again on Friday and play against Galilean Christian Academy at 8:00 p.m. on January 12th. One thing working in Galilean Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches. As for Cumberland Christian Home Educators, Cumberland Christian Home Educators and Varsity Opponent will face off at 2:00 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
