Baseball Game Preview: Springdale Dynamos vs. Riverview Raiders

For the second straight game, Springdale will face off against Riverview. The Dynamos will welcome the Raiders at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Springdale has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Riverview will arrive with four straight wins.

Springdale fell victim to Riverview and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 10-0. That's two games in a row now that the Dynamos have lost by exactly ten runs.

For Riverview's part, not much got past Lukas Duncan, who gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Springdale off the board. Duncan has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Riverview let Eli DeVita and Carter Loughren run wild. DeVita went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple, while Loughren went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Those two hits gave Loughren a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Johnny Bertucci, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Riverview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Springdale only posted an OBP of .238.

Riverview's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Springdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
