League recap: Rocky Mount Academy's league-best two wins lead to standings climb

NCISAA Eastern Plains league recap: 3/27/13

Top honors in the league this week go to Rocky Mount Academy, which finished with two wins overall, good for best in the league. The Eagles beat Faith Christian 9-7.

Pierce Beaman was the top pitcher in NCISAA Eastern Plains this week, leading Arendell Parrott Academy. He retired seven batters this week.

The Patriots boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

The highest batting average in the league this week belonged to Arendell Parrott Academy's John Mclawhorn, who churned out three hits in seven at bats for a .429 average. For the season, he's hitting .389, good for sixth in the league. McLawhorn has seven hits total this season.
