Basketball Game Preview: St. Stephens Indians vs. Draughn Wildcats

The St. Stephens Indians just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Draughn Wildcats at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Stephens will be strutting in after a victory while Draughn will be coming in after a loss.

St. Stephens is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 75-53 margin over Bunker Hill. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Indians have posted against the Bears since November 23, 2021.

Meanwhile, Draughn played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Newton-Conover, falling 77-35. The Wildcats were down 51-27 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Everything came up roses for St. Stephens against Draughn in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, as the squad secured a 71-32 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Wildcats' Eli Tillery, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 15 points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
