Football Recap: Hertford County Piles Up the Points Against Roanoke Rapids + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Armstrong (Kennedy), Hertford County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets 34-0. The Bears' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Ayden Everette continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 198 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 59 yards.

Hertford County now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Roanoke Rapids, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Hertford County and Pasquotank County will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. The Panthers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Roanoke Rapids, they will venture away from home to square off against Warren County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 12.8 points per game this season, so the Yellowjackets' offense will have their work cut out for them.
