Volleyball Recap: Moapa Valley Comes Up Short

If Moapa Valley was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Cristo Rey St. Viator on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates came up short against the Boulder City Eagles on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-13, 25-10.

Mateo Bradshaw paced Moapa Valley's offense, picking up four kills. Bradshaw got some help from Spencer Stolworthy and his seven assists.

Moapa Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Boulder City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Moapa Valley has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Mater Academy East Las Vegas on the 17th. As for Boulder City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas on the 17th.
