Baseball Recap: Signal Mountain Sets Scoring Season-High Against South Pittsburg

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Signal Mountain). They were the clear victor by a 14-4 margin over the South Pittsburg Pirates on Saturday. The Eagles not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since May 12, 2024.

Bo Cooper made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Cooper was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season.

In other batting news, Cash Keene was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those stolen bases marked the first that he snagged this season. Another player making a difference was John Zimmerman, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
