Baseball Recap: Liberty Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Liberty had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Paloma Valley Wildcats by a score of 7-3. This was a revenge game for the Bison: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in March, they had to take a 7-2 loss.

Martin Naranjo looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, Matthew Schaeffer and Adrick Brown did most of the damage at the plate: Schaeffer went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Brown went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That home run was Schaeffer's first of the season. Xzavian Mazariegos was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Liberty now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Paloma Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-12.

Liberty didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-1 defeat against Poly on the 1st. As for Paloma Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-5 win against Heritage on the 1st.
