Preview: North Cedar vs. Cascade
Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, North Cedar should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They take on Cascade at 7:00 PM. North Cedar will be strutting in after a win while Cascade will be stumbling in from a defeat.
North Cedar had a rough outing against Camanche two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. North Cedar put the hurt on Columbus with a sharp 53-24 victory. The victory was a breath of fresh air for North Cedar as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, after soaring high against Maquoketa Valley, Icarus fell to the ground last week. Cascade lost to Waukon by a decisive 21-40 margin.
Cascade's loss took them down to 2-2 while North Cedar's win pulled them up to 1-3. We'll see if Cascade can steal North Cedar's luck or if North Cedar records another victory instead.
