WPIAL A Tri-County South recap Oct. 3, 2012

Bethlehem Center extended the longest winning streak in WPIAL A Tri-County South this week by beating West Greene, 60-6. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.

Jefferson-Morgan's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyler Bowman threw for 48 yards and Nic Santoyo had 37 yards receiving. On the ground Dustin Conti chipped in 148 yards. Logan Bowman helped Jefferson-Morgan's passing attack out by catching one ball for 11 yards.

Thanks to the talents of Bowman and Conti the Rockets have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Bowman leads the league in passing with 428 yards, while Conti has rushed for 742 yards this season. Avella's Zack Thompson leads the league in receiving yards with 343 on 11 catches.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Jefferson-Morgan takes on Bethlehem Center. Liam Ryan's team is currently in third, while Ed Woods's team is in first.

The Bulldogs led the league in scoring this week after putting up 60 points on the Pioneers.
