Monett has gone a perfect 9-0 against Lamar recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Cubs will host the Tigers at 4:30 p.m.

Logan-Rogersville hit Monett with a five-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cubs lost 12-2 to the Wildcats. The Cubs haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Monett saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Seitz, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lamar, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They put the hurt on Jasper with a sharp 8-1 win on Monday. Considering the Tigers have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Lamar's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Monett, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Monett came out on top in a nail-biter against Lamar in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 8-7. Will the Cubs repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
