Baseball Recap: St. Martin Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

St. Martin and Brandon squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but St. Martin had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Yellow Jackets have suffered since March 25th.

Jace Jones was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Jenner, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

With the loss, St. Martin broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-13. As for Brandon, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-11.

While St. Martin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
