Basketball Recap: Trinity Greenlawn Takes a Loss

Trinity Greenlawn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 39-24 to the Triton Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 42-11 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Avery Viers was the offensive standout of the matchup as she dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Those 14 points gave her a new career-high. Sierra Hawley was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

Trinity Greenlawn's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Triton, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Greenlawn will welcome Hamilton at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Triton, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Oregon-Davis at 5:00 p.m.
