Basketball Recap: New Horizons Prep Academy Starts Season with Loss on the Road

New Horizons Prep Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 88-19 loss at the hands of the New Faith Christian Academy Titans . The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Titans : they've now lost three in a row.

Landen Render was nothing short of spectacular for New Faith Christian Academy: he went 12 of 16 en route to 25 points along with five boards and five steals. The match was Render's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Harry Egbayelo, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 18 rebounds.

The win was the third in a row for New Faith Christian Academy, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.

New Horizons Prep Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Faith Christian Academy, they will take on Meadowcreek in a tournament on Friday. Meadowcreek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.
