Recap: Mulberry Grove Aces vs. Bunker Hill Minutemen
The Mulberry Grove Aces's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 52-29 defeat at the hands of Bunker Hill. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mulberry Grove has scored all season.
Mulberry Grove's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Bauer, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Strohkirch, who scored two points along with ten rebounds.
Mulberry Grove struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Mulberry Grove's defeat was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Bunker Hill, their win bumped their record up to 7-16.
Mulberry Grove will look to defend their home court on Monday against Pana at 7:00 p.m. As for Bunker Hill, they will head out on the road to square off against Carlinville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
