Volleyball Recap: Grain Valley Takes a Loss

Grain Valley lost against Lee's Summit North back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broncos.

While Grain Valley ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18.

Maddox Dresslaer paced Grain Valley's offense, picking up six kills. Dresslaer got some help from Jordan Jackson and his six assists. Jackson was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Grain Valley's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-4-1. As for Lee's Summit North, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2-1.

Grain Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Belton on the 3rd. As for Lee's Summit North, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Staley on the 3rd.
