Baseball Recap: Borah Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Burley, Borah was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Minico Spartans by a score of 10-5.

Carson McCarney made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. McCarney was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Ryan Gross was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Brady Robinson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Borah's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Minico, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coincidentally, Borah and Minico will both be playing Sandy the next time they take the field. Minico will head out to face Sandy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, while Borah will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
