Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Conifer). They put the hurt on the Wheat Ridge Farmers with a sharp 15-2 victory on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lobos considering their two-run performance the match before.

Luke Adams was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Conifer's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is undefeated (and 2-9 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Andrew Janasiewicz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Conifer kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.8.

Conifer is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Wheat Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Conifer will square off against Denver East at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wheat Ridge, they will host Dakota Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
