Baseball Game Preview: Powell Panthers vs. Daniel Boone Trailblazers

The Powell Panthers will take on the Daniel Boone Trailblazers at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Powell's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Daniel Boone's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Powell beat Tennessee 10-5. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Daniel Boone waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Wildcats.

Braden Gore spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Clay Rowland, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Stevens, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Daniel Boone hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in five consecutive contests.
