Harrison County is a perfect 5-0 against Bluegrass United since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Thorobreds/Fillies will face off against the Bluehawks at 5:00 p.m. Harrison County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 13 games.
On Tuesday, Harrison County made easy work of Paris and carried off a 16-1 victory. Considering the Thorobreds/Fillies have won 15 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Brian Vaughn made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, Boston Reynolds was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Jashon Lewis was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Harrison County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .652. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Bluegrass United didn't have quite enough to beat Western Hills on Tuesday and fell 7-6.
Bluegrass United saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Hawkins, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one run. Another was Hayden Westfall, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Harrison County pushed their record up to 25-2-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Bluegrass United, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
Harrison County took their win against Bluegrass United in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thorobreds/Fillies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
