Volleyball Recap: Costa Mesa Takes a Loss

After flying high against La Quinta last Tuesday, Costa Mesa came back down to earth. The Costa Mesa Mustangs lost 3-0 to the Calvary Chapel Eagles on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-18, 25-10.

Costa Mesa's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Calvary Chapel, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Coming up, Costa Mesa will be playing at home against Los Amigos at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Calvary Chapel, they will be taking part in a tournament against Yorba Linda at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
