Basketball Recap: Mescalero Apache Comes Up Short

Mescalero Apache was the 64-18 winner over Eunice when they last played one another back in March of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Mescalero Apache Chiefs opened the new year with a less-than-successful 59-49 defeat to the Eunice Cardinals.

Mescalero Apache's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Eunice, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Mescalero Apache won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Alamo Navajo at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Eunice, they are taking a road trip to challenge Dora at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
