Mendon proved they can win big on Friday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Honeoye Falls-Lima Cougars. Given Mendon's advantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while Honeoye Falls-Lima are ranked 207th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mendon's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Honeoye Falls-Lima, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Mendon nor Honeoye Falls-Lima have any future games scheduled.
