Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Jefferson walked away with it. They blew past the Northwest Whitfield Bruins 3-0 on Saturday. The win was familiar territory for the Dragons, who have now won five contests in a row.

Northwest Whitfield lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kierstyn Holland, who had five digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Paola Cuna, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 29-10. As for Northwest Whitfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 28-15.

Coming up, Jefferson will take on Whitewater on Wednesday. Northwest Whitfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
