Preview: Pomona Panthers vs. Brighton Bulldogs
The Pomona Panthers are on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Brighton Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on December 5th. Pomona will be strutting in after a win while Brighton will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Saturday, Pomona earned a 31-23 victory over Adams City.
Pomona's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kendra Ritzmann, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Ritzmann has scored at least 25% of Pomona's points. Another player making a difference was Janessa Mondragon , who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Brighton took a serious blow against Douglas County on Thursday, falling 56-22. Brighton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-2.
Pomona came up short against Brighton in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 31-24. Can Pomona avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
