Preview: Warsaw Wildcats vs. Sherwood Marksmen
The Warsaw Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Sherwood Marksmen at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sherwood took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Warsaw, who comes in off a win.
Warsaw came into Saturday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They enjoyed a cozy 50-36 victory over Lawson on Saturday. The victory was just what Warsaw needed coming off of a 99-73 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Sherwood's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 12th straight defeat. They took a 55-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Montrose.
Warsaw's victory bumped their record up to 4-17. As for Sherwood, their defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-14.
Warsaw couldn't quite finish off Sherwood in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 and fell 52-49. Thankfully for Warsaw, Ryder Wells (who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
