Baseball Game Preview: The Heights vs. Field Falcons

The Heights will take on the Field Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Heights hasn't scored more than a single run for six games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

The Heights lost 15-1 to Bishop O'Connell on Thursday.

The Heights saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vince Anzidei, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Field). They put the hurt on Eastern with a sharp 17-7 win on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Field pushed their record up to 3-4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for The Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

The Heights beat Field 8-3 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Does The Heights have another victory up their sleeve, or will Field turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
