Basketball Recap: Columbia Now 9-3 over Last 12 Games

If Santa Fe wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Columbia, they should've done a better job of containing Shaheed White. The Columbia Tigers walked away with a 64-57 win over the Santa Fe Raiders on Friday thanks in part to White, who went 9 of 13 on his way to 20 points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (two).

When it comes to explaining why Santa Fe lost, don't look at Cedric Collins. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 12 en route to 17 points and four steals. Camden McLeod was another key player, putting up ten points.

Columbia is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Santa Fe, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

Columbia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 65-29 victory against Suwannee on the 25th. As for Santa Fe, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-36 win against West Port on the 28th.
