Basketball Recap: Clark Comes Up Short

After flying high against Schurz last Wednesday, Clark came back down to earth. The Clark Eagles took a 36-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chicago Marshall Commandos on Friday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-49 back in November of 2024.

Chicago Marshall got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Janiyah Green out in front who posted 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Anabel Robinson was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Clark's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Chicago Marshall, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

Clark didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-21 victory against Manley on the 11th. As for Chicago Marshall, they will square off against Farragut at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
