Softball Recap: Phillips Victorious

The Phillips Loggers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Barron Golden Bears 4-3.

Phillips now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Barron, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Phillips will take on Auburndale at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Barron, they will challenge Cameron at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Comets have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season.
