Softball Recap: Howell Takes a Loss

Howell lost against Northville on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Highlanders fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 7-5. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leighton Scott made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Sophia May was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Howell's loss dropped their record down to 12-9-1. As for Northville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Howell will head out to take on Stevenson at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northville, they will venture away from home to face off against Northview at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
