Jaella Mercado, Bishop O'Dowd's leader in stolen bases on the season, led the team again on Wednesday. Mercado was dynamite, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played.

Looking ahead, Mercado and Bishop O'Dowd will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Castro Valley at 7:00 p.m. Mercado has dominated as far as stolen bases are concerned (she's averaged 1.3 per game this season), but she's got her work cut out for her considering the Trojans have only allowed 0.78 per game this season.
