The Wasco Tigers will take on the Shafter Generals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Wasco sitting on eight straight wins and Shafter on three.
Wasco came out on top against Chavez on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Tigers took their matchup against the Titans 7-2.
Cedes Saldana spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 18 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Emma Gomez was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Sienna Lugo was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run.
Meanwhile, Shafter got the win against Delano on Thursday by a conclusive 8-1. Considering the Generals have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Shafter got a big performance out of Victoria Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Pugh, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Shafter hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 23 consecutive games.
Wasco pushed their record up to 12-7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Shafter, their victory bumped their record up to 17-6-2.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Wasco hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .344. However, it's not like Shafter struggles in that department as they've averaged .368. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
