Basketball Game Preview: Pender Patriots vs. Whiteville Wolfpack

The Pender Patriots will take on the Whiteville Wolfpack at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Wednesday, Pender came up short against Heide Trask and fell 60-53. The Patriots have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jordan Hansley, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Howell, who earned eight points along with 13 boards and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Whiteville strolled past East Columbus with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 57-40. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolfpack.

Whiteville has also been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Pender, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
