Basketball Recap: Timberline Takes a Loss

Timberline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Highland Huskies 42-13. The Spartans were down 42-11 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Highland was led to victory by Hailey Click and Sheradyn Stamper. Click dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten steals, while Stamper dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 steals. The dominant performance also gave Click a new career-high in boards (eight). Kylee Beck was another key player, putting up four points along with 11 boards and four steals.

Timberline's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Highland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Timberline will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kamiah at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Highland, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Nezperce at 4:30 p.m.
