Basketball Recap: Linden Drops Season-High Score on Franklin

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Plainfield, Linden was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They rang in the new year with a 65-52 win over the Franklin Warriors. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Linden's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jekhi Burnam led the charge by going 9 of 13 en route to 21 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Holman, who posted 14 points and five assists.

Linden smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Linden now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Franklin, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-5.

Linden wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 48-46 victory against Westfield on the 9th. As for Franklin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 51-48 win against Hillsborough on the 9th.
