Maranatha has gone a perfect 7-0 against Pasadena recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Maranatha Minutemen will look to defend their home field against the Pasadena Bulldogs at 3:15 p.m. Maranatha has given up an average of 22.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Having struggled with 16 defeats in a row dating back to last season, Maranatha turned things around against Pasadena on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 28-26. The Minutemen's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Pasadena's part, Gemma Gomez led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-5 with six RBI, three runs, and one double. Those runs marked the first that Gomez scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaslene Perez, who went 3-for-5 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles.

Even though they lost, Pasadena was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .415. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .350 or higher in three consecutive games.

Pasadena dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Maranatha, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
