It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Venice Indians can now relate to. They took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dreadnaughts on Saturday. Venice's loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Venice's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamarice Wilder, who rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns. Alvin Johnson iii was another key contributor, rushing for 89 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.

Venice's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Lakeland, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Venice does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lakeland also has no future games currently scheduled.
