Basketball Recap: Groveton Triumphs

Groveton won the last time they faced Colmesneil and things went their way on Friday too. The Groveton Indians slipped by the Colmesneil Bulldogs 46-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Groveton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Josiah Allen, who posted two points along with nine boards, seven steals, and three blocks. Allen is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last seven games he's played. George Jake Snyder was another key player, putting up 11 points and six rebounds.

Groveton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Colmesneil, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Groveton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-53 defeat against Leggett on the 14th. As for Colmesneil, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-50 loss against Apple Springs on the 14th.
