Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South entered their tilt with Fairmont Heights on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-11, 25-13.

Jayla Dixon paced Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South's offense, picking up 12 kills. Dixon got some help from Hailey Pilgrim and her 24 assists. Pilgrim was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Fairmont Heights, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-6.

Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against College Park Academy on the 22nd. As for Fairmont Heights, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Central on the 21st.
