Softball Recap: Oakville Comes Up Short

The matchup between Oakville and North Beach on Thursday hardly resembled the 3-1 effort from their previous meeting. Oakville came up short against North Beach, falling 27-2. The Acorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hyaks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2017.

Oakville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nae Nae Filitaula, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

This is the second loss in a row for Oakville and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for North Beach, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-3.

Looking ahead, Oakville will face off against Wahkiakum at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Beach, they will host Chief Leschi at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
