Basketball Recap: Hoxie Comes Up Short

Hoxie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 74-17 defeat at the hands of the Harrisburg Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while the Hornets are ranked 129th).

Hoxie's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Harrisburg, they pushed their record up to 13-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Hoxie will take on Armorel at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Harrisburg, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 64-27 victory against Cross County on the 25th.
