Basketball Recap: Calumet New Tech Drops Highest Score of Season Against Calumet Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Calumet New Tech). They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Calumet Christian Patriots 93-65. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on three straight.

Calumet New Tech got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Johnny Hudson out in front who dropped a double-double with 33 points and 13 boards. With that strong performance, Hudson is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Allen, who went 9-for-16 on his way to 25 points and three steals.

When it comes to explaining why Calumet Christian lost, don't look at Josiah Kpandeyenge. Despite the final result, he went 7-for-12 to rack up 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That's the most steals Kpandeyenge has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kolton Foutz, who went 6-for-13 en route to 12 points.

Calumet New Tech now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Calumet Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.
