Basketball Recap: Hugoton Takes a Loss

Hugoton lost against Goodland back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hugoton Eagles fell 43-36 to the Goodland Cowboys. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hugoton now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Goodland, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hugoton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ulysses at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Goodland will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Holcomb at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
