Cedar Cliff had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Mechanicsburg Wildcats by a score of 8-5 on Monday. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Owen Anastasi was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Grant Enders was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mechanicsburg fell to 2-1.

Coming up, Cedar Cliff will square off against Cumberland Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Cumberland Valley will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cedar Cliff surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mechanicsburg, they will head out on the road to take on Altoona at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
