Soccer Recap: Hillside Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Hillside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Riverside-Durham Pirates. While losing is never fun, Hillside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 364th, while Riverside-Durham are ranked 121st).

Jose Valadez Ramirez and Michael Blanco scored both of Hillside's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Hillside's loss dropped their record down to 2-11-1. As for Riverside-Durham, they now have a winning record of 5-4-3.
