Soccer Game Preview: Houston Academy vs. Providence Christian

The Houston Academy Raiders will head out to take on the Providence Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Providence Christian will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Houston Academy extended their winning streak to seven on Thursday. The Raiders never let Highland Home get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Riggs Hickey was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Providence Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Knights 3-0. Providence Christian's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Houston Academy's record is now 20-4. As for Providence Christian, their record now sits at 14-3-4.

Houston Academy came up short against Providence Christian in their previous matchup back in March, falling 3-1. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
